In our recent pony car comparison test, the retro-heavy ? and just plain heavy ? 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS walked away with top honors in its debut. The big V8-powered coupe needed a new challenge. It was time to refocus the lens. Shoot from a different angle, so to speak.

So we squared the brooding visage of our SS-badged protagonist up against the cruelest bunch of savages we could find, the range-topping 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 and 2010 Ford Shelby GT500.

In this video you show that the challenger srt8 does? the 1/4 mile in 13.6. But in your video of the Srt8 Challenger vs srt8 Charger you show that it runs a 12.6. Am i missing something?

@Blitzkrieg05 you cant say who cares about the price, because thats 1? of the main points of the comparison, they say car camaro won, but it costs a bit more money to own... price for price the mustang won. i aint hating on either car, but it p**ses me off when ppl do s**t like that. a 50k mustang should race a 50k camaro... the price diffrence here is like a V6 racing a GT

Yes the 2013 GT500 will destroy the 2012-13 ZL1 in the right hands but it's always back and forth. There is not one constant winner and there never will be.

Well? a stock Supercharged Mustang GT500 V8 sportscar can go 0-100kph in 4.6sec?! My stock 2.3tons naturally aspirated V8 Jeep SRT8 family SUV can do 0-100kph in 4.8 sec, too? What does this indicate ...?

I don't believe this. My stock 2011 mustang gt V8 does 0-60 in about 4.5 or so. So there is? NO WAY that the 2010 shelby supercharged does it in 4.6 sec.
